Hemaraj Land And Development
takes pride in our commitment towards society. Since
1988, we have placed environment, education and
community high ranks in our planning. For almost 2
decades, Hemaraj has demonstrated that we are at the
forefront of green industrial estates, commit to support pupils and students in Eastern Seaboard and
nurture communities around us. |

Environmental Care |
|
 |
Land development in harmony with nature is one of the
key areas Hemaraj concentrates on. It has been the
companys policy from day one to ensure that industrial
estates, communities and nature co-exist in a
sustainable manner. With good planning and well-designed
process management, it is possible to manage industrial
estates to be environmental friendly.
|
|
This starts with understanding the
environmental effects of different industries. It is
essential to group the right clusters together in the areas
whose geographical setting allows for a reasonable provision
of resources to deal with the environmental care. Laying out
matching infrastructure, utility capacities and regulations
on sensitive routines solves future concerns. Once factories
are operating, in co-operations with its customers, the Industrial Estate Authority
of Thailand and Hemaraj monitor the environmental parameters of all
factories to safeguard the green process. Reciprocally,
Hemaraj always keeps its infrastructure and water treatment
and waste water systems well maintained to ensure smooth
environmental operations. |
|
|
|
Hemaraj also adopts an
alternative way of wastewater treatment, wetland. This
involves using plants and bacteria to treat the
wastewater so it is environmental friendly and energy
saving. King Bhumibhol originated the concept of wetland.
And we are proud to be a humble follower of His
Majesty's
footsteps. With help from Asian Institute of
Technology's researchers, the original wetland was
adapted to suit our industrial
requirements. In terms of solid waste, Hemaraj entered
an agreement with Waste Management Siam, a world class
professional in modern sanitary landfill, to set up a
landfill site in Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate to
provide services to customers and factories on the
Eastern Seaboard and nationwide. |

Environment and are ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2000

Education |
|
 |
Education is key to the development of Thailand. Each
year Hemaraj implements 3 main educational projects:
Annual School Contribution, Adopt A School with Amcham
and Scholarships. In 2007 we have reached out to almost
40 schools, more than 10,500 pupils and students in
Eastern Seaboard and Saraburi.
Annual School Contribution is the distribution of
stationary and dental hygiene kits, plus some
alternative items such as backpack or sports T-Shirt
direct to the children. |
|
Adopt A Scool is continual
coordination with the American Chamber of Commerce in
Thailand. Necessary items such as library books and
computer are donated. Some time the help comes in the
form of building tooth brushing area, restrooms and
repairing buildings for schools. Last but not least,
Hemaraj provides full board scholarships to a number of
underprivileged secondary school students in Eastern
Seaboard who successfully get admitted to universities
and vocational colleges. |
|
|
| Community |
|
 |
Hemaraj actively interacts
with our neighbors in several ways such as generating
jobs, passing know-how on environmental care to
communities, donating land, laying down pipeline of
treated potable water for villages, organizing medical
mobile units and participating in numerous local events.
Hemarajs safety technicians and fire brigades also help
surrounding communities dealing with fire and
emergencies upon local authorities request for
additional support. |

|
| Others |
|
 |
Hemaraj cooperates for and contributes to various
charities such as blood donation with Red Cross, flood
relief donation and equipment donations for traffic
police, etc. |
