Over the last
20 years, the Eastern Seaboard area of Thailand has emerged as
the industrial center for Thailand with the National
Petrochemical complex at Map Ta Phut, Rayong Province, the
container port at Laem Chabang, Chonburi Province, and massive
investments in power, water supply network, refineries, highways, transportation,
communications, human resource and supporting infrastructure.
Thailand has a large integrated petrochemical industry, hosts
international automotive companies exporting to 130 global
markets, and is consistently rated as attractive for Foreign Direct
Investment from broad industries with high value applications.
Hemaraj has played a key role in this development.
Industrial
Estates at Hemaraj are primarily in the Eastern Seaboard of
Thailand with a recent broadening of locations. Four industrial
estates developed and managed by Hemaraj are

known as the Detroit of the East and adjacent under

These four Industrial Estates represent 25,000 rai or 10,000
acres under development, industrial clusters for petrochemical
automotive and other industries, with 382 customers including
126 automotive customers, direct employment for 65,000 people
and a customer investment estimated at USD 14 billion.
From
April 2005, Hemaraj formed an industrial property joint venture with Cementhai
Property, a subsidiary of The Siam Cement Public Company Limited to acquire
shares in S I L Industrial Land Co. Ltd., in order to manage and to continue
development of the two industrial zones. ,
in Saraburi Province thus broadening our location and
, in the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand add 7,000 rai or 2,800
acres under development, 70 industrial customers including from The Siam
Cement group, as well as customer investment estimated at over USD 1 billion.
Hemaraj's
industrial estates are jointly managed with the Industrial
Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and receive promotion incentives
Zone III and Zone II from Board
of Investment (BOI).
