Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate (Hemaraj CIE), the first industrial estate of Hemaraj Land And Development, is located in Bowin, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. The Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate is directly both on highway 331 and the new interchange from highway 7 to highway 331 thus logistically convenient to the Laem Chabang deep-sea container port and Sri Racha city both being only 25 kilometers away. Bangkok is only 110 kilometers distance.
The total area is 3,993 rai (1,597 acres). Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate offers Board of Investment Zone II incentives (link to 1.5.1) and at a higher privilege than companies outside of industrial estates. Over 50 customers have invested over USD 2 billion here.
Glow IPP, a 713 MW power plant at CIE, jointly developed by Hemaraj with Suez Energy subsidiary Glow Energy supplies the EGAT electricity grid. There is also an 800 MVA high voltage electricity substation and comprehensive industrial infrastructure including communications, water, wastewater treatment and solid soil bearing capacity. Natural gas is also available as an alternative power source through PTT Public Company Limited. Water is secured through the contractual supply with East Water from Nong Plalai Reservoir.
The industrial estate is also home to the first engineering sanitary landfill in Thailand. With global environmental standard in waste management, Waste Management Siam through Eastern Seaboard Environmental Complex, provides a non-hazardous industrial landfill to customers both inside and outside CIE.
SME Factories
For initial low cost and low risk investments, SME Factories of 2,500 square meters for lease and purchase, developed by Hemaraj, are also available for rent or for sale depending on customer requirements.
Export Processing Zone
The Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Hemaraj CIE is an area designated for industrial or commercial operations whereby tax and duty privileges are granted to companies manufacturing for export.
