Recognized as "Detroit of the East", The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (ESIE) in Rayong Province is the auto cluster under the BOI Zone III incentives. The industrial estate is strategically located in proximity to Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port (Container, Roll On-Roll Off) and Sriracha Deep Sea Port (Container and Bulk). The industrial estate covers a vast area of 8,628 rai (3,451 acres).
ESIE is home to over 105 automotive supply-line companies. This includes 9 of the world's top 10 automotive suppliers and over 25 Toyota group companies. General Motors manufactures Chevrolet sedans and one-ton pickups as well as Isuzu one-ton pickup export volumes. Ford and Mazda under Auto Alliance (Thailand) produce one-ton pickups for both local and export markets. This industrial estate is a manufacturing base for export to more than 206 countries. Since created in 1995, ESIE's development has been a resounding success with USD 5 billion investment. At present, there are 25,000 employees working with over 165 international companies.
Free Zone
The logistically excellent location combined with the Free Zone enhances the competitiveness of ESIE as a manufacturing base for export. There are two Free Zones in ESIE providing manufacturing areas or SME factories.
SME Factories
Hemaraj designed and developed over 60 SME Factories of 120,000 square meters in total for lease or sale ranging in size from 750 square meters to 7,500 square meters or larger depending on requirements. A Hemaraj company can manage the utility and fit-out requirements for customers further.
ESIE Plaza I and II
In terms of commercial area, ESIE Plaza I and ESIE Plaza II make the working life of ESIE's population easier with banks, multi-cuisine restaurants, hospital branch, car rentals, travel clinic, accounting consultancy and convenience stores. Moreover there are temporary offices for rent for new customers, as well as Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Training Center and Video Conference Service.
